I want to help you successfully navigate the competitive process of buying a home in the Bay Area to find your place in the East Bay!


Where to start?

A decision to sell or buy a home often involves a significant life event: a birth, a death, a marriage, a divorce, a job transfer, a promotion, a career shift, or the last child heading off to college ... and then the move comes about.

As your real estate advisor, I am here to help you on this journey.  I’ll help you strategize and clarify your priorities and goals.  I’ll provide answers to your questions, listen to your concerns, help guide you through these life events, and navigate the challenges that come about during these significant transitions.  


The Buying Process:

Beginning your home search can be an overwhelming and daunting task.  Because of that, I make sure that you, and all other potential buyers, understand each of the steps that I take to make the process as easy and painless as possible.  By the end of your search, with my support and guidance, you will live happily ever after in your new, dream home.  Here’s how we will begin:

Initial Consultation

We’ll meet and carefully review the entire buying process step-by-step so that you understand it, and with that knowledge and feel comfortable and confident starting the journey to home ownership. Together, we’ll assess your needs by identifying what’s important for you in a new home and community—your priorities and desires for where you live. We’ll also establish a plan of action for finding homes and neighborhoods that meet your criteria.

Financial Preparation

This is a crucial step in the home buying journey. I will connect you with well-respected mortgage advisors who can help you understand the lending process and options available. They can also educate you regarding the costs associated with acquiring and owning a home, and help you determine your budget. Next, you’ll begin the loan pre-qualification/approval process and obtain a pre-qualification letter that is necessary to submit along with your offer.

Property Search

You’ll receive automatic email alerts and begin viewing properties. This is the fun part! We’ll fine-tune your search criteria as you view different homes and areas until you find a home that excites you. Once we’ve identified the perfect home, we’ll review the disclosure packets together (inspection reports and information that the seller must tell you) to ensure you understand the condition of the home and what you are buying.

Preparing an Offer

Preparing a competitive offer involves many things. We’ll analyze market data, property information, and other considerations in order to write an offer that differentiates you from the others. I’ll present your offer to the seller’s agent and negotiate on your behalf throughout the process.

Contract Settlement and Escrow Process

Once your offer is accepted, I’ll manage and oversee the escrow process, which usually takes between 17 and 30 days, all the way to the point where keys are in your hand and the home is yours.

Post Sale Relationship

I want to be your real estate resource throughout your home ownership journey. I’m available to offer advice, and I’ll connect you with experts and resources for projects you plan to do.
